This page describes our EFT training cancellation and transfer policy.  

We understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes plans change. Because our trainings are small and run only twice a year, each space is vital to the viability of the event. The following policy ensures we can continue offering high-quality, small-group trainings while being as fair as possible to all participants.

Why We Have This Policy

We only usually run only two cohorts of EFT training each year, with a limited number of people due to needing to maintain a trainer-participant ratio to both maintain emotional safety in a space where emotions can arise, and also so people get individual attention and help as needed.

We spend thousands in advertising each year to fill up these two trainings.

To make running trainings viable, we need to be sure each of these places is paid for, and we can’t risk being in the position where we would have to refund places, if cancelled near the time of the training. This also applies if anyone wishes to move to a future date. If someone cancels last minute, there isn’t enough time to fill the space. Additionally, in the case of allowing a place transfer to a future training date, it means we can’t sell that space on that future training.

In addition, cancellation fees are set, like other workshop providers, because marketing effort is made for specific workshop dates in order to fill available spaces, venues are decided based on demand, and also because manuals are printed well in advance.

As a case example, on a recent training, we had seven people who, all for very good reasons, needed to reschedule within a month before the training start date (and some just a few days before). This was a significant percentage of the number of people on the training! When we run only two cohorts a year and with small numbers, and spend so much on advertising and other costs such as the venue, it is just not viable to transfer everyone to a future training where each one takes one of the spaces we need to charge for to make the future training financial viable.

We do our best to be fair, and this policy helps us ensure that our trainings remain sustainable and available to everyone who wishes to attend. We believe our policy is similar or better than other organisations who run events.

Cancellation and Refunds

Our cancellation policy is as follows. If you wish to instead reschedule to a future date, please see the Transferring to a Future Date Policy a little further down. Note that if we need to cancel the workshop will receive a 100% refund or you can move your money as a credit to a future workshop.

If you cancel before a month before the workshop, we can move what you have paid to a credit which you can use on a future workshop date, even if new dates haven’t been announced yet.

Cancellation refunds are offered as below: 
  • 100% up to 30 days before the workshop start date
  • 75% from a month to 3 weeks before the workshop start date
  • 50% from 3 weeks to 2 weeks before the workshop start date
  • 25% from 2 weeks to 1 week before the workshop start date
  • 0% if cancelled within 1 week of the workshop start date
Transferring to Another Person

At any point, you may give your place to another individual.  Please ensure we are informed, and that the new individual completes the registration form.  We charge a £10 administration fee for this.

Transferring to a Future Date

For those who give less than a month’s notice before a training date in which you are booked, for whatever reason, we allow you to transfer to a future training date up to a maximum of 2 times, for reasons described above.  This is a fee to do this (see below).  After this, there is no refund and no option to transfer.

If you are unable to attend after two transfers, we can offer a 50% discount on a future training as a goodwill gesture. This discount applies to online and Hertfordshire trainings (ask about other locations).

Note that if you change to a new date and end up cancelling (or you do not show up) then we are unable to refund your training fee.

Fees to Transfer to a Future Date
  • First transfer request: 10% administration and transfer fee (includes updated manual) as a percentage of what you paid for the training.
  • Second transfer request: 20% fee
  • After two transfers: no further transfers or refunds are available 
Exceptions

We understand that unexpected and significant life events can occur. In situations such as serious illness or bereavement, we will review your circumstances outside of the standard terms. Please contact us so we can talk through your situation.
