What is Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT -"Tapping")?

EFT: A profound, rapid self-applied tool that puts us back in control of our lives

Do you want to experience a life of peace, calm and passion?  Do you want to learn a tool that can help you reach this place on a daily basis?  One that can dissolve present moment stress often in a matter of minutes, or when used more artfully can reach the roots of our biggest challenges.

We are all familiar with the experience of being completely different people when we are calm and happy compared to when we are stressed.  We are nicer to be with.  We are more creative, generous.  We are inspired and new creative ideas come to us readily. We are also aware that certain things like comments from others, or even our own thoughts or feelings trigger us into those stress states (as well as into other emotional states such as anger, sadness, self-hate, fear, paralysis).

Know that each of the triggers has an origin and by working with those origins with EFT restores peace and safety to the part of us that set up the “programme” long ago.  This means we no longer get triggered and get “taken away” from ourselves, as the happier we are the more authentically ourselves we are.

  • Releasing financial fears and blocks

As a trainers and practitioners we are always amazed at how effective this method can be. We have seen major trauma dissolve within one to three sessions (this means released, not suppressed). We have seen chronic fatigue disappear in 3 sessions (and in one case 20 minutes)! We have seen core beliefs disappear in minutes. We have seen depression lift in just a few sessions.

It is a joy to see smiles returning to the faces of our clients. And in most sessions we see clients experience deep relief from their emotional challenges, as well as gaining many insights (although it typically takes a number of sessions to work with the issues that drive them).

Research in the Journal of Nervous and Mental Disease showed that a single session of EFT resulted in a cortisol (stress hormone) reduction of 24% compared with an average of 14% who were in the talk therapy or “wait” groups.

Not only that, a paper published in the Review of General Psychology suggested EFT was amongst the most potent and precise therapies for influencing gene expression – the key factor in the growing field of Epigenetics. For instance, a one-hour EFT psychotherapy session found that EFT was associated with the regulation of 72 genes, including those involved in learning and memory, regeneration of neural white matter, enhanced synaptic connectivity, neuronal survival after DNA damage, tumor suppression, insulin regulation, heightened immunity, inflammation, and antiviral activity.
